The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier is a youth-adult fiction about a group of teen boys in a secret school society called The Vigils. When a new student refuses to sell chocolates to raise money for this Christain boarding school, war ensues. 

This book was first published in 1974, it may have some language that is no longer seen as acceptable today and swear words. Ages 13+
