First, the bad news:
After careful consideration, I've decided to suspend production of The Christian Bro Code Podcast, YouTube channel and Facebook Page.
Now, the good news (at least for me it is!):
I will continue to provide teachings via a podcast and YouTube channel. The podcast will be new. The YouTube channel and Facebook page will be The Christian Bro Code rebranded.
The teachings on the new podcast and YouTube channel will be very similar - almost identical - to what I taught in The Christian Bro Code Podcast. They will not be specifically for men, however. Instead, they will be for Christians who are seeking to grow as disciples of Jesus. The goal of the teachings is to equip you to advance the mission Jesus started.
What now?
From now on, you can find me online at www.marioescobedo.org.
To make sure you never miss a teaching, visit my new website and join my email list. Better yet, sign up for the new workshop I just created titled, "The Call To Discipleship." I think you'll like it.
Finally ...
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've received so many positive messages and comments from you and I can't thank you enough. My prayer is that I can continue to provide you teachings that help you grow.
God bless, bro!
Growth doesn’t happen on its own or just because you want it to happen. Growth happens when you decide to grow, map out a growth plan and then put it into action.
2020 was … different, and only God knows what’s in store for us in 2021. But, one thing is for sure. Regardless of what happened in 2020 or of what awaits you in 2021, you can grow. Make no mistake about it, though. Growth will only happen if you plan on it and if you take action.
In this final episode of 2020, I share some pointers that should help you have a fruitful 2021. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it helps you.
See you in 2021!
What a crazy election season it's been! I'm sure you have your own very unique political views and opinions. And I'm sure that, whatever they may be, you're convinced that they are absolutely right and that anybody who doesn't share them must be taking stupid pills. And, it's very likely that you're not shy about your views or about sharing them with others.
Well, be that as it may, I'd like to suggest to you that there is a particular characteristic that we must display as disciples of Jesus that just might affect how much and how often we give the world a piece of our mind. That characteristic is meekness. In this episode I'll share with you my definition of meekness and how it should play out in our lives.
Believe me, kingdom-wise, there's a lot at stake if we don't demonstrate meekness.

No doubt we're all feeling frustrated and maybe even a little anxious during this whole COVID-19 situation. That's pretty normal, I think. But, have you gotten to the point that you've started to doubt in God? If that's where you find yourself, take a listen to this episode.
Now, fair warning, you're not going to hear the stuff you typically hear like "God is with you; Don't give up, etc., etc." All that is true and we need to hear it. But in this episode I'm going to put some of the responsibility of overcoming your doubt squarely on your own shoulders.
Now, don't worry. I'm not going to judge you or put you down or anything like that. I just want you to see that there's a lot more that you can do than you think.
Since March of 2020 we've all been living in some kind of alternate reality. Among other things happening in our nation and world, COVID has impacted our lives in ways nobody could have foreseen.
I think we all know change is inevitable. But there's a huge difference between living with changes you chose and changes that you did not choose. In the case of of COVID and 2020, we didn't choose change - change chose us!
So, as disciples of Jesus, what should be our attitude and reaction to unexpected changes that are thrust on us? That's what I'm going to talk to you about in this episode.
I'll be looking at Isaiah 43, primarily verses 16-19, as a basis for this discussion. We'll look at two attitudes to change. I'll suggest that there is one attitude God wants us to avoid and another He wants us to embrace. Choose incorrectly and you could miss out on the new things God is planning.
I hope you enjoy the episode, Bro!

Regardless of your level of income or the amount of clout you have in society, you will more than likely face a desperate situation at some point in your life. I would argue that in those situations, as a disciple of Jesus, you are called on to demonstrate your faith. But, what does that mean?
In this episode I take you through Mark 5:21-43 to help answer that question. This passages is the one where Jesus healed the woman who had been bleeding for twelve years. He also raised a little girl from the dead. There's quite a bit to learn from this event about what it means to demonstrate faith.
When you're done listening to the episode, take some time to read this passage for yourself. Look for ways that it encourages you and challenges you to demonstrate your faith.

Why should you get this training? Because if you're going to grow as a disciple of Jesus you're going to have to learn how to be a self-feeder. You shouldn't depend on your Pastor or small group leader to spoon-feed you your daily dose of Bible. You've got to own it! This training will help you with that. Mark 5:1-20 is a pretty well-known passage. It's the one when Jesus heals a man possessed by a legion of demons. The demons then enter a herd of pigs who hurl themselves over a cliff and drown in a lake.
The thing with passages that are well-know to us is that we sometimes read over them and think we've squeezed all the juice out of them! Thinking about that, I decided to dig into the passage a bit more to mine out some takeaways that maybe we haven't though of.
Now it may be that you've already heard these takeaways somewhere else. Regardless, give them a listen and see what you think.

Following Jesus is an all or nothing proposition. What Jesus looks for is men who are as committed to His mission as He was. Yeah. That's intense. That's radical. That's being a disciple of Jesus.
In this episode we look at Mark 3:20-35. In this passage, some of Jesus' family members said this about Jesus, "He's out of his mind!" Only family can get away with that kind of stuff. We'll take a look at how Jesus responded to this and what his response means for us - the modern day disciples of Jesus.

I say it all the time. This podcast is all about helping you grow as a disciple of Jesus. But, have you ever stopped to think, "What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus?"
No doubt, there are many ways we can describe what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. In this episode I boil it down to a handful of characteristics. These are characteristics that I think are essential and fundamental to an understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.
Here's a breakdown of the episode:
After you hear the episode, I'd be interested to hear what you think is an essential characteristic of a disciple of Jesus. You can send me an email at [email protected] or send me a message via FaceBook.
One more thing. Don't forget to get your free training, "How To Kick Start Your Own Bible Study Library" over at thechristianbrocode.com. If you're going to grow as a disciple of Jesus, you're going to have to learn to do your own Bible study. Don't depend on others. Become a self-feeder! The resources I recommend in this training will help you take your Bible study to the next level.
And there you have it, bro!
Two things you should know before listening to this episode. First, you’ll agree with a lot of what I have to say, and you’ll probably disagree with some of what I have to say. Second, this episode is like vegetables. You may not like it, but it’ll be good for you.
This episode is part of our three-part series on Obed-Edom.
This episode is all about God’s provision. What it means for God to provide for you and what are the conditions for God to provide for you. Here’s where we might disagree. I think you should tithe. I think all disciples of Jesus should tithe. I explain why I think that way. I also explain why I don’t buy in to two of the most common reasons given for not tithing.
There's a story in 2 Samuel 6 about a Bro named Obed-Edom. There's not a whole lot of detail about this bro, but check out this verse, "The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household."
Now, wouldn't you like to know how God blessed Obed-Edom? I sure would! In this episode I'm going to take you on a pretty deep dive Bible study. By the end of this episode you're going to have some pretty solid information that is going to help you understand the blessing that Obed-Edom and his family enjoyed.
Even better, we're going to see how we can experience that same blessing in our homes and families today.
Buckle up, Bro! It's going to be a good one.
