In their typical long-winded fashion, Christina & Dusty kick off their podcast by exploring why so many Christians struggle to read their Bible — and why it's so important to approach Scripture with joy and intentionality. They also look at practical tips for creating a Bible-habit that feels less heavy and more fun!

Tips for reviving a Bible-reading habit:

1. If Bible-reading is feeling like a chore, get curious as to why. Are you forcing yourself to read in a way that doesn't actually suit how your brain works? Can you give yourself permission to approach the Scriptures in a way which feels more natural to you?

2. If you're a long-time Christian and your Bible has started to feel a bit boring, can you start approaching it in a new, fresh way? Maybe with a new translation, reading a new commentary, or by listening to it as a narration rather than reading it?

3. Ask God to help you have FUN with it!

4. If you're coming to Scripture for the first time, approach it from a high-level overview, reading through the whole Bible in a chronological before diving in to deeper, verse-by-verse studies. And take your time with it! If it takes you 2 years, that's 100% okay!
