The prophets lived in the midst of chaos yet looked into the future with the hope that God would restore and renew the world through the ministry of the Messiah. Christmas reminds us that God is faithful and that he always fulfills his promises. We can now see what the prophets couldn’t see -- The fulfillment of their prophecy - a fulfillment from the place that no one expected - from below, from the obscure and insignificant.
