As we study what the Catechism teaches us about the Church, we learn that it is represented as a building of God, a dwelling place, or Temple. Such a reality allows us to look at what went on in the Temple in the Old Testament and see how it teaches us the gospel and something about the designs of our churches and our lives as Christians.
