Part 12:  Ekklesia: The Church as a Worshipping Community

Scripture: John 4:1-26 

Have you wondered if there is anything more to life?  

You are designed for something more. Your soul will never be satisfied apart from worshipping God. It doesn’t matter how extensive your portfolio is – it will not satisfy you. It doesn’t matter what kind of status you achieve, what degree you earn, or what shape you achieve through time in the gym.  These things will not satisfy the deepest longings of your soul. 

If accomplishments are the goal and prize, you will end up with a great résumé but still feel empty. What is the key ingredient that is missing?  

Fulfillment comes from worshipping God, not from having others worship you.  A call to worship God is a call to satisfaction. And Jesus made this call to satisfaction to the Samaritan woman 2,000 years ago.
