Sermon Application

Christ did not initially find his bride as an 'excellent wife' but rather, because he has bought her with his blood, he makes her an excellent bride!

1. Are you, as a member of Christ's church, walking through your life believing Christ delights in you? Please explain.

2. Since Christ delights in his bride so should we. Are there areas where you struggle to delight in the church?

3. In the sermon it was said that the Proverbs 31 woman (the church) is captivated by her king and gives full devotion to him. What does it (or what would it) look like for you to have a single-minded devotion to Jesus? What, in your life, your heart, your thinking are keeping you from this?

May the Lord be pleased to grant grace to us at Immanuel to live as those in whom Christ delights and make his name well-known in the gates.
