April 28, 2021 - The coming year will be one of the most pivotal moments in New York’s history. The Pandemic landed a body-blow to families, communities and businesses. As we begin the hard work of repairing the social and economic damage, there is an understanding that Covid-19 exacerbated many of the city’s pre-existing ills and injustices. It also demonstrated the resilience and creativity of its people. Against this backdrop, we will have a new mayor and a fresh administration ready to make their mark. In addition, a full 60% of the City Council will be new to their posts. And Washington DC seems to be focused on policies, and dollars, that are more NYC-friendly.
