John 14:1-10, Colossians 2:17

Often in our world, good news for one person is bad news for somebody else.

“The angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring you GOOD news that will cause great JOY for ALL people.” - Luke 2:10

John 14:1-10 (pg. 1,675)

v.1: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. TRUST in GOD; trust also in ME.”

v.7: “If you know ME, you know my FATHER as well. From now on, you do KNOW Him and have SEEN Him.”

v.8: “Philip said. Lord, SHOW us the FATHER and that will be ENOUGH for us.”

v.9: “Jesus said, Don’t you know ME Philip, even after I have been AMONG you such a long time?”

v.10: “The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the FATHER living in ME who is doing HIS work.”

The Gospels document Jesus BEING the best explanation of GOD.

“These are a SHADOW of the things that were to COME; but the REALITY however is found in Christ JESUS.” - Colossians 2:17

“The LAW is only a SHADOW of the GOOD things that are COMING, not the realities themselves.” - Hebrews 10:1

Jesus didn’t just HAVE the best explanation for God.

Jesus IS the best explanation of God.
