As modern humanity we have come a long way in knowing how to see far into the future. We have technology that has given us the ability to project far out in advance in days, months, even years. There are ways to come close to accurately predicting weather. The Financial institutions have trend forecasting that launches out decades in advance.  However, what is coming upon us is largely in the realm of unknowing. As people of modern technological foreknowledge, we have never been here before. For the first time we do not know what is coming. Though we can come as close to trying to know, we cannot at this time in human history.  

In Luke chapter 9 we read about the Transfiguration of Jesus. Peter, James and John were there in a short distance as Jesus prayed. At one point "there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him."   The very moment they "feared as they entered into the cloud," there came a voice. And when that voice passed, Jesus stood alone. Yet, He stood with the three men, and the three men with Him. That cloud they feared was the shadow of the Most High God. You see, there are many clouds that might block the view of God. Clouds of sorrow, Clouds of deep despair, Clouds of thick darkness out of losses, and the seemingly fearful clouds of unknowing.  

Remember, when you enter into a cloud and begin to fear, it is from out of that cloud you will hear God speak to you. He will always say "Do not fear." Let us not be afraid of clouds. The shadow is the shadow of our Beloved. he is very near to the place where His shadow is. Where Jesus stood alone with the fearful three, He will also stand with you, and you will hear Him and be comforted no matter what happens in the realm of unknowing.
