Between 1972  and 1973, Female students went missing after they were picked up from hitchhiking off the highway. What the police originally thought might have been related to drugs turned out to be much more sinister when they found the head of a one of those missing students. They soon realized that there is a serial killer on the loose in Santa Cruz, California..but have no leads. They don't realize that what they've been searching for this entire case has been right in front of them this whole time.
