If you’ve ever read about alien/human hybrids you have read that one of the many things that they possess is telepathy, which indicates a hive mentality. One always knows what the others are doing because their minds are all connected through the hive. In the same fashion, with the integration of man and computer through wireless communication. In both scenarios, each entity is not an individual, but one cog in a vast machine. The both share a common mission, much like bees, ants and termites, each with a goal and a rank.
