"Ho Erchomenos" — Greek for "The Coming One".

The Coming One was an acquainted title that brought hope to the weary people of Israel.

Christ, our Coming One, brings that same hope to us today. He is the One who comes — and who will continue to come — to us. He will not leave us orphans.

We encounter Him in the Eucharist. And when we partake of Him, we are called to become, in turn, "ho erchomenos" to others — bearers of His love in the world.
