Pergamum was a church which stood fast against pagan worship even under the threat of death. Yet Jesus took issue with them, not for what they were doing, but for what they were not doing. The leadership would not address sexual immorality among its members. 

This message soberly reminds pastors and leaders that they must give an account of their failure to confront open sin in their midsts.
