Today I'm joined by Kayelene Kerr, a former police officer with 24 years experience in law enforcement investigating sexual crimes. Kayelene is highly experienced, educated and is recognised as one of Western Australia’s most experienced providers of Child Protection workshops.
Through her company, eSafe kids, Kayelene provides national and international workshops and webinars to children. She also educates parents, teachers and other professionals on how to talk with children, young people and vulnerable adults about protective behaviours and body safety.
This conversation is based around the terrifying statistic that children on average are being exposed to pornography between 8-10 years old. It is an important one for parents of all age children but specifically those of primary aged children. It is also full of simple and practical tips to minimise risks of the internet.
Content warning: this episode discusses sexual themes and pornography. This episode is not suitable for little ears.
