Cowardice is a choice. Our ancient ancestors knew this. That is why such harsh punishments were conducted if one displayed cowardice. To be a coward in the modern world is must less obvious. Cowardice has now been excused, poeticized, and even admired among the men and women of today. 

Life is too short to be a coward.
