This week on the Construction Record podcast digital media editor Warren Frey speaks with Chandos Construction lean and sustainability specialist Jack Statham about how the Calgary-based company is implementing lean principles into every facet of its organization. Statham explained how the company holds an annual company challenge where employees create videos showcasing their implementations of lean practices, which are then shared and adapted across the organization. Lean improvement practices are also shared throughout the year in an attempt to continuously improve. Statham added the COVID-19 pandemic created an intense push to improve efficiencies across the organization as workers had to adapt to unprecedented circumstances and were able to streamline processes as a result.
