Characteristics of Immaturity (1 Corinthians 3:1-4) Babies: can’t feed themselves; cry when uncomfortable; demand attention; center of own universe; wanting what another has.

Envy: Contentious; rivalry; jealousy

Strife: Contention; quarrelling; wrangling debates

1 Corinthians 3:4-8 Fractious, “hero” worship; “people exalting”; worshipping the servant over the Master.

1 Corinthians 3:9-11 Whose we are! (Loved, chosen, called out, blessed, favored, Bought)

Ministered to by His servants who He sends

Metaphors of service: field, building

Get hold of who you are! (1 Corinthians 3:21-23; Ephesians 4:14, 15)
