Growing up near Croydon, England, Gary pursued his dream through the American college system before embarking on the grueling mini-tour circuit across North America. After years of coming agonisingly close to securing a spot on the Korn Ferry Tour, he adopted a fresh approach—focusing on mental toughness and incorporating tools like visualisation. This shift in mindset ultimately helped him achieve his breakthrough, making history as the oldest rookie to earn a PGA Tour card.

In part II, we cover some of Florida's private scene after the arctic blast left snow in South Carolina, so we headed to warmer climbs in West Palm Beach to visit Bear Lakes and Pine Tree, as well as our time at TPC Sawgrass and Winter Park. This episode contains a full hit of more contemporary architecture, from Nicklaus designs at Bear lakes, Dick Wilson at Pine Tree, Pete Dye at Sawgrass and the renovation by Keith Rhebb and Riley Johns at Winter Park.
