Having taught in both the humanities and the sciences areas at the college, I had several classes in many disciplines. I found it very interesting that if I had done my job correctly, my students really wouldn't know who I was by the end of the semester. Professors bring ideas to students, and then students have to decide how they feel about those ideas. Is this something they believe is credible or incredible? Is this something that is worthy or unworthy? Whatever has gone on in my classes over the semester, the ideas and concepts that were covered meant something to all of the students. Even if they rejected the idea, that is significant. And that's as close as I can get to who I am, and if I've done my job correctly, you'll not know how many cookies I ate today.
