Avoidance feels safe in grief. We stay busy, distract ourselves, or numb the pain, convincing ourselves that if we don’t look at it, it won’t hurt as much. But avoidance doesn’t heal us—it delays the pain, strains our relationships, and keeps our wounds open.

In this episode of Soulfire, I share how avoidance showed up in my journey, the hidden cost it carried, and how I finally learned that facing my grief was the only way to move forward.
