Dr. Lance specializes in injury biophysics and completed her doctoral dissertation examining what caused the mysterious deaths of the crew of the Confederate submarine, the HL Hunley on it's one and only mission. Rachel converted her hours, days, weeks, months, and years of research into the fascinating book "In The Waves: My Quest To Solve The Mystery of A Civil War Submarine".
