"So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba."

One of the most striking details in Genesis 22 is not what is written—it is what is missing.

Abraham went up the mountain with Isaac.

The text says Abraham came down.

Sarah is never mentioned in the narrative.

The ram appears.

But Scripture never records a conversation about what the mountain cost the family.

That silence should make us pause.
