Genesis Chapter 7 – The Covenant Carried Through Judgment

Introduction

Genesis 7 is the chapter of judgment and salvation. God’s warning becomes reality: the floodwaters come, covering the whole earth. Yet in the midst of destruction, God preserves Noah, his family, and the animals inside the ark. This chapter shows us a picture of how God’s covenant carries His people through judgment. Just as Noah entered the ark and was saved, we too must enter Christ, our Ark of Salvation, to be carried through the judgment of sin.

Lesson Theme: Judgment is certain, but covenant salvation is sure for those who obey and abide in God’s plan.

Genesis 7:1–5 – God’s Final Call

• God tells Noah: “Come into the ark, you and all your household.”
