Covenant is probably the least understood, yet most important concept in the entire bible. It is also the heart and foundation of humanity's relationship with God. 

God is a covenant-keeping God. Throughout the scriptures, we saw a covenant-keeping God establish his covenant with his children and through his covenant, we saw his power manifest mightily in the life of his people. 

The bible is a covenant book, which is why it is called a testament. we have the old testament and new testament. The word testament means covenant. So when we talk about the old testament and new testament, we are talking about old covenant and new covenant.
