Genesis Chapter 3 – The Covenant of Grace after the Fall
Genesis 3 is one of the most important chapters in the Bible. It explains why the world is broken, why people struggle with sin, and why we need a Savior. Adam and Eve lived in covenant innocence in the Garden, but temptation and disobedience shattered that peace. Yet, even in judgment, God revealed His covenant of grace. He promised that the “seed of the woman” (Jesus Christ) would crush the serpent’s head.
Genesis 3:15 - And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”
This chapter reminds us that:
In today’s world of shame, brokenness, and blame-shifting, we see how relevant this story is. Families still struggle, temptation still whispers lies, but God’s covenant of grace still offers redemption through Christ.
