Verse 1 — The Father’s Decree (Eternity Past)

Before the world was formed and there was light,

Before the first dawn broke the night,

The Father chose a people of His name,

And purposed them all to praise the Lamb.

In sovereign love the plan was laid—

A gracious covenant He made;

a people redeemed by Christ the Son,

And saved them all through Holy Blood.

We praise the Father’s sovereign grace,

We praise the Son who took our place,

We praise the Spirit, Seal of peace—

Yahweh God who saves perfectly.

From given and growing love we sing,

The Covenant of our great King.

Verse 2 — The Son’s Willing Submission

In the Holy triune Godhead’s will,

the eternally begotten Son said, “I’ll fulfill.”

He took the form of servant low,

Obedient unto death He’d go.

Those whom He chose His Grace received,

For them His righteousness achieved;

our sin upon His shoulders laid,

The debt in crimson now fully paid.

Verse 3 — The Spirit’s Application

The Spirit comes to call His Own,

quickening cold hearts of stone;

He opens blind and lifeless eyes,

And draws the heirs Christ purchased nigh.

He guards the flock with holy might,

And guides them through the darkest night;

He seals them till redemption’s day—

None of His, shall fall away.

Bridge — The Unbreakable Bond

No power of evil, no scheme of man,

Can hinder what the Lord began.

The pact, the Lord God decreed

Is sure, eternal, and guaranteed.

The bride for whom the Son was slain

Will rise with Him, now only glory to gain.

Forever planned but in time unfolds,

This covenant of Love never grows old.

Final Chorus — Triune Doxology
