In the new covenant, God's commandments come through revelation and relationship with the Holy Spirit rather than written laws. As believers, we are led by the Spirit who guides us into all truth and provides direction for our lives. This requires developing intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit through dedicated time alone with Him, free from distractions. Just as the Israelites needed preparation before entering the promised land, God sometimes leads us through wilderness experiences to prepare us for His blessings. True spiritual growth comes from being led by the Spirit rather than allowing our minds and emotions to dictate our spiritual lives.
