In Genesis 17 we find the institution of the Covenant sign of circumcision. While it might be easy to dismiss this Old Testament passage as one that has no relevance today, we would be wrong to do so. These verses demonstrate important lessons regarding the rule of God, the expectation of obedience to God, and the assurance of God.
