Most mp3 players have a media bar showing where you are in the song. By hitting different spots on the bar, you go and play different parts of the music. If the music is incredibly boring, it sounds better hopping around in it than playing it conventionally. I call this ersatz musical instrument, "the Crapaphone" since, one uses crappy music as the source. It can be recorded while playing and replayed (or not!)
