It's safe to say that even gospel music has been affected by the same influences that has led hip hop to its current state. Looking at the Killer Mike situation where he was faces some backlash for winning the leading awards at the Grammy's. With many people tying his win to him not being relevant enough to win it also points to the bigger conversation that needs to be had about why these elements matter more than making good music!!! Rather it's a young vs old or money vs lyrics, the culture of music by black artists is changing fast!!!!
