Stephen Hillenburg was a marine biology teacher, who turned his attention to animation and created SpongeBob SquarePants, one of the most successful cartoon characters in history. SpongeBob has been featured in television, movies and in a Broadway show. Laszlo Lorand was the Hungarian-American biochemist who was a co-discoverer of Factor XIII, a critical enzyme in the coagulation of blood. Ken Berry was the dancer turned actor best known for his role as Captain Wilton Parmenter in the ABC sitcom F Troop (1965-1967). Pete Shelley was the founder and lead singer of Buzzcocks, an influential early punk rock group.
