The foundation of our faith is salvation—and salvation is not an idea; it is a series of divine events that define our reality in Christ: His incarnation, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension.
Jesus’ birth was supernatural (Matthew 1:18–21). He became a man—fully identifying with humanity. But His birth had a purpose: His death.
Jesus died physically, suffering on the cross (Philippians 2:8).
He died spiritually, experiencing separation (Matthew 27:46).
And He died willingly—laying down His life by choice (John 10:18).
Why did He die?
Because man owed a debt of death (Romans 6:23).
Man could not pay it.
And God’s plan had always been Christ.
His burial confirmed that He truly died (Mark 15:42–47). He entered Hades, defeated death, and disarmed the powers of darkness (Colossians 2:13–15).
Then came the resurrection—the ultimate proof of victory. Witnessed by many (1 Corinthians 15:3–7), it declared that death could not hold Him. Christ triumphed over sin, death, and the enemy.
Finally, the ascension (Acts 1:9–11). Jesus was taken up into heaven, exalted in authority—and through Him, we are seated with Him. The giving of the Holy Spirit confirms this reality (John 14:16–18).
What does this mean for us?
Through His death—we died with Him, and our debt is paid.
Through His burial—the power of sin is broken.
Through His resurrection—we have new life and eternal hope.
Through His ascension—we share in His victory and position.
This is our reality.
We are not trying to win—we are living from victory.
We are not bound—we are free.
We are not dead—we are alive in Christ.
The cross is not just history—it is your present reality.
