Jesus freely embraces obedience and suffering out of love, revealing that the Cross—once the worst moment in human history—has become the source of salvation. From the Cross He gives us His mother, forgives those who crucify Him, and shows that even the darkest moments can be transformed by God into grace. With hope and reverence, we venerate the Cross and trust that God can bring life even from suffering and death.
