In Episode 16 of Season 2, Neil, Matt, and Bruce are joined in the studio by Helen Wyman to review all the action from the end of the season. In crosstalk, they reminisce on Helen's career as one of the most successful, popular and influential cyclocross riders of her generation, as she retires from professional competition, and her plans for the future of the Helen100. They also look back on the career of Kevin Pauwels who has also just retired from racing. Helen gives the inside information on the final races of the season from the DVV and Superprestige finales through to the excitement of the Soudal trials and bunny hop competitions, and that 'krazy golf' course from Hulst. In the Laaste Ronde, they look forward to next season's calendar and talk scheduling of racing and being a tad exasperated at the clashes and how they will affect the highest level racing, especially in the UK. They review the venues for the National Trophy and talk through the 'it's not a spoof' World Champs course planned for the dullest flattest part of a country characterised by challenging cyclocross courses in the mountains... and the contrast with what looks like a brilliant venue for the 2019 Europeans, just up the road from Venice, Italy. Thanks to all who have supported The Crosscast this season - The Velocast, Awesound, all of our guests, and of course all you listeners.
