Without being tested as a man, we will never know if we have what it takes. We will never know our strength. We will never become pure in heart if we are not broken down and put in the crucible, the fiery furnace. If anyone knows trials and the refining process, it’s Job from the Bible. Through his sufferings and greatest pain, he had enough love and respect for God to say these 2 profound statements; “though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him” AND “when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” We too will come forth as gold as we allow the fiery trials to remove the crud from our hearts so we reflect the One whose image we bear!
