On today's episode of The 415ers, Evan Giddings and Marc Grandi focus in on one specific member of the popular San Francisco 49ers' quarterback room: Trey Lance. Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated said on 'The Herd with Colin Cowherd' that the 49ers feel that they've 'already given Lance a lot of chances.' Is that true? Do you agree with that? Lance's four-career starts may disagree, but the 49ers have tried to give him more opportunities -- injuries simply got in the way.
Plus, Breer also said that the 49ers were willing to let Lance develop last season, even if it meant hurting their chances at winning a Super Bowl, adding that the team is not longer willing to do that this season. Why? What's the difference? Does one year make that big of a difference in terms of the 49ers' timeline to win a Super Bowl? Or is this more about the other options San Francisco has a quarterback?
Also, the way things are developing for the 49ers (assuming the health of Brock Purdy), it seems like Lance may not get another legitimate chance to prove himself in San Francisco. How does that make you feel? Are you willing to potentially sacrifice a season for the sake or learning what Trey Lance, NFL QB, is? Or will you deal with your unease if the 49ers move on from Lance without him starting another game for San Francisco?
