An expectation is a belief or assumption about a future outcome or event, and it can be based on past experiences, cultural or societal norms, personal desires or goals, or other factors. Although expectations can provide a sense of control and predictability, they can also add internal and external chaos to our lives.
So, how can we limit or remove expectations in life to become happier and more fulfilled? Here are 4 Keys to Removing Expectations:
1. Acknowledge the impact of expectations
2. Practice compassion for yourself and others
3. Communicate desires and hopes with others
4. Practice gratitude
