In today's show, Kenny and Del review the 1992 Romantic Comedy The Cutting Edge, celebrating its 30th anniversary today.

1992 was a significant year for sports movies, or more directly obscure sports movies.  Sixteen sports movies were released, some sports include kids soccer, kids hockey, sailing, underground boxing, and this film, figure skating.  The idea for the movie came from producer Robert W. Cart, who while watching the figure skating championships in 1990 thought, “What if the two people hated each other?”  Written by two-time Oscar nominee Tony Gilroy, the film has some pedigree.  The film would star D. B. Sweeney as Doug Dorsey, an Olympic hockey player who suffers a head injury that causes him to miss his ride into the pros, and Moira Kelly as Kate Moseley, an Olympic figure skater who has been spoiled by her father and respects only perfection from her partners, making her impossible to work with.  The lasting impact of this film is Sweeney and Kelly.  Both actors are the reason this film is so beloved and they have lasting chemistry that makes this one of the classic romantic comedies of the day.  So, join us as we review The Cutting Edge
