Danielson Connection:
Each of our podcasts will be connected to the Danielson Framework. As educators, we use the Danielson model to guide our lesson planning. There are four domains to the Danielson model. Domain 1 includes Planning and Preparation. This domain includes subcategories such as knowledge of students, setting instructional outcomes, and designing assessments. Domain 2 includes the classroom environment. This domain includes everything in a teacher's classroom culture. Domain 3 addresses the instruction. This is the "meat" of a teacher's day to day life. What happens in a lesson and following the lesson is included in Domain 3. Finally, Domain 4 has professional responsibilities. Both Allison and Emily regularly grow their professional practice by participating in communities and attending conferences. This falls under Domain 4. Each episode we will outline how our chosen strategy connects to the Danielson Framework.
