Why do only 20,000 people (not even 2% of commuters in the City of Chicago) bike to work? Is it the density or distances? The heat in the summer or cold in the winter? Maybe the wind? There’s one problem with those explanations: the simple fact that way more people walk to work in Chicago than bike to work β€” 80,000 versus 20,000.
