Yaughdeady, okay so what do we have here? Okay so this is a very simple piece. It's very to the point; there's this spiral, there's this face, and its very clear what emotion is portrayed here. It's a sad face, its okay for sad faces to exist. They often do but what i am more interested in is the activity. The way things come from that point, that sad face, how things spread apart from it, how things come off of it. There's these squiggly lines and the colors change with the intensity. There's energy coming off of this sadness, like the negativity of this face is projecting in all directions. I'm not sure i did the best job at creating depth but i really do like the activity and this piece is just super simple. I always come back to spirals, just because there so fun, its really cool to just do little circles and circles and circles. There's just something about when i'm not sure exactly what to start doing and i just want to do. Spirals are super good, super reliable to start then boom you expand you grow from that single point.
