On the Thursday edition of The Daily Score, Mark Grote broke down an incredibly eventful day at Halas Hall. Bears defensive coordinator Alan Williams resigned from his position, the team said Wednesday afternoon (00:20). Williams released a statement in which he cited his own health and family as the reasons for his resignation. Grote also discussed quarterback Justin Fields stating a new goal in his pre practice media session that includes "thinking less" and "playing off of instincts (04:09). When asked to explain the cause for overthinking, Fields responded "could be coaching, I think. But at the end of the day … they're doing their job". Following practice, Fields called reporters back to his locker to clarify his earlier statement, explaining that he's "not blaming anything on the coaches" (09:40).
