Having just uplifted the importance of the gospel, Paul goes on to detail what happens when we improperly navigate our lives and refuse to live out the implications of the gospel. If we deny one part of the gospel, such as the resurrection, we deny the whole gospel. That is why 1 Corinthians 15:12-20a reminds us to affirm the gospel by living in the power and hope of the resurrection.
