In the early part of chapter 29, Moses brings to mind God's history with them and how they are standing on holy ground. Now he warns them of getting involved in the idolatry that they witnessed in Egypt and the countries around Canaan. Remaining covenantally faithful to the God who revealed to them the covenant is paramount to any healthy community of God's people.
