We discuss an art piece titled "SOF Mistress" done by We The Willing Collective.  We dive into the deeper meaning of the art piece and the poem it is based on by James R. Ward. We go through the poem line by line and we discuss what it means to us and how it relates to the image creating by We The Willing Collective. 

"Men, Special Forces is a mistress. Your wives will envy her, because she will have your hearts. Your wives will be jealous of her because of her power to pull you away.

The Dangerzone: Episode 40 - What's The Hardest Thing You've Ever Done?

In this Veterans Day episode I  sit down with the crew behind The Dead Reckoning Collective. They were instrumental in publishing the book In Love  & War The Anthology of Poet Warriors. They have also put out a book of their own work called Fact and Memory.  We get a chance to talk about how The Dead Reckoning Collective was formed and what there mission is. While in Texas they hosted their first event allowing veterans like myself to read some of our poetry to a live audience and enjoy a concert from a veteran musician and storyteller named Padre Paul Handelman.
