On this week’s episode of the Special Chronicles Podcast: we feature a new Unified Leadership Warmup Training presented to United Airlines employees teaching you about Unified Leadership and what it can do for you personally, your organization, and what it can do for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The purpose of this session is for you to have an understanding of the definition and characteristics of Unified Leadership, have a basic concept of Unified Leadership and a call to action, recognize we all have exclusive behaviors whether we realize it or not, and to be supportive or necessary organizational changes to ensure inclusion for everyone especially people with IDD.

Plus: we conclude with a panel discussion with two athlete leaders sharing their Special Olympics stories and to talk more about the importance of Unified Leadership.

Join us on this week’s episode of the Special Chronicles Podcast as we conclude National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) with a CNA Chill & Chat with Daniel Smrokowski, a Special Olympics athlete and Sargent Shriver International Global Messenger. Daniel is  an award-winning and veteran podcaster, columnist, and an acclaimed advocate who tells disability stories on his groundbreaking, global platform Special Chronicles.  You may recall that Daniel previously recorded a short video and participated in a webinar with CNA’s Sonia Dziubek, AVP, Procurement Operations & Innovation. 

Daniel will talk about disability inclusion and equity, including his work with Special Olympics, his job as a Service Ambassador with United Airlines, and his participation in Bridge, United’s business resource group, which connects people of all abilities. 

AVID’s Chill & Chat is a relaxed format which allows their members to be active participants in the conversation. We will start with a brief discussion to introduce Daniel, and will then provide time for their members to ask Daniel questions.
