There are times when we can put away our phones and distractions and are not persisting in sin, and demons aren’t blocking God, and we still don’t feel God’s presence the way we used to. 

You can be doing everything right, going to church, reading the Bible, spending daily time in prayer, all with the right motivations from the heart, earnestly seeking God and His will, and still not feel His presence in your life. 

We feel like Psalms 42: “1 As a deer longs for flowing streams, so I long for you, God.”
