What day did Jesus actually die on? It wasn't on Friday as tradition has taught us. Scripture gives us a different picture. Why is this important? Because Jesus came to fulfill the scriptures by becoming the Passover Lamb, and doing exactly what He said. After three days and three nights He would rise. God is always true to His Word.
