Season 7 promised a new world with new possibilities, and episode 1 delivered. Though the possibilities are not necessarily positive. What an incredible start to a constant evolving story. Negan is a bad, bad man. This we were told. We were not lied to. A truly heart wrenching story and a situation where our protagonist is broken almost to the point of injuring his own son by command. Not sure how they will top this, and for the time being, we're scared to even see them try.

We had a great discussion of episode 1 and lost of listener feedback and news. So its heated at Alexandira about keeping Lydia around and even the worth of Negan at this point. Tempers are flaring brought on by the constant fight with waves of walkers continued from last wee. Where are they coming from? Seems pretty obvious, but Judith is teed up to nail it down. Some great character development and shifts in this episode. Lukes group loses a member, namely Luke. Lydia serves up squirrel.
